Meet Jim Sparks

Meet Jim Sparks, Founder, Owner & Lead Consultant / Developer, Fall River Solutions St. Louis

Jim Sparks is a St. Louis, Missouri native, Clayton High School graduate and Webster University attendee. Born in Maplewood, Jim currently lives in Imperial with his family, which includes four rescue canines, and two rescue felines.

Jim’s first business cards were created on a dot matrix printer, at the age of 10. He began coding computer software in 1982 using Apple Basic on Apple II computers at school. Interface design, online services and custom programming were consistent themes in Jim’s activities during the Commodore/Amiga and early IBM years. By 1985, Jim was providing multi-node bulletin board services (BBS) from his home, including public and private messaging and file sharing services…
at the age of 13.

In 1995, Jim transitioned from providing a multi-node BBS service to building hand-coded HTML websites for small and medium sized businesses eager to be among the first to hit the World Wide Web.

Professional experience began in 1996 as an Internet Support Technician, first for Primary Network and later for Lida.NET, both prominent Internet Service Providers at the time. Jim began developing computer hardware, networking and server support skills while continuing to build websites for ISP clients looking for help with Web solutions.

In 1999, Jim joined Weissman’s Designs for Dance as System & Network Administrator, as well as Lead Software, Web & Database developer. For the next 5 years, Jim’s hardware and networking skills increased significantly, while maintaining complete attention to solution development.

In 2004, Jim joined Midwest Manufacturing Technology as Database Administrator and custom software developer. For two years Jim handled solution design, development, testing and implementation for a wide range of Mid.Tec clients, in a wide range of industries.

In 2007, Jim and his wife Kathy officially formed Fall River Solutions, LLC

Our goal is, and always has been, the continued success of our clients.
